Per Japanese Wikipedia, there is a twice-weekly ferry service between Shimonoseki and Suzhou, China, operated by the Suzhou Shimonoseki Ferry company.
A ferry to Qingdao is also listed, however it ceased operation in December 2015 due to low ridership.
