Carry domestic currency while going abroad

According to Wikipedia, Indian nationals can import or export up to 7500 INR and foreign nationals none whatsoever. As far as European countries are concerned (certainly the one you mentioned in your other question), I don't think there are any limit but if you carry more than 10000 EUR (for the European Union) or 10000 CHF (for Switzerland), you have to declare it to the customs (this also covers any mix of foreign currency, bonds or shares worth as much).
