Are people who have a closer unity to God called to act by the divine?

From the Christian context, all believers are called to act by God (the divine) regardless of their level of spiritual maturity:

Matthew 22:36-40 King James Version

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

These commands are not to avoid doing something -- such as "thou shalt not", but are commands to pro-actively do Love.

It is only humans that are respecters of persons:

James 2:1-5 King James Version
