Spanish Fort is a suburban city located in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States, located on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. It is part of the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley metropolitan statistical area. As of the 2010 census, the population of Spanish Fort was 6,798, up from 5,026 at the 2000 census.

The city was founded in 1712 by the Spanish, hence the name. During the American Revolutionary War, Spanish Fort served as a crucial stronghold for the British against the Colonials. During the Civil War, the Union troops unsuccessfully attempted to capture the Fort in the Battle of Spanish Fort. The city was incorporated in 1911.

The city is home to many historic sites such as the Old Spanish Fort, Fort Blakeley Historical Park, and Battlefield Memorial Park. It is also the location of two golf courses, TimberCreek and The Golf Club at the Magnolia Grove.
